If you've followed along via other social media outlets, you're probably aware that my current medication regimen has been upped. And that I gave myself a pretty awesome bruise because of it!

I am now taking the Gonal F to grow my follicles and also Orgalutron to prevent ovulation, which means I get to give myself two shots every night instead of just one. I offered to let Cole give me them, but he declined. It is pretty amazing at what we will do to ourselves to make something like this happen!
We had our second ultrasound on Tuesday 5/22. The doctor seemed pleasantly surprised at how well our follicles were growing (most measured around 14 or 15, although we had one that measured at 17!). Our next appointment is scheduled for Thursday 5/24 and the doctor believes that we could do the retrieval on Saturday 5/26. This means that, by next week, we could be doing our transfer!
Cole and I both agree that things feel "real" now. Not that they didn't before, but there was less of a pressured feeling when we first got here. Now things are incredibly time sensitive. And we're trying to get things in while I'm feeling well enough to do so. We found out today that hiking up very steep hills in the sun is not a good idea for someone who essentially has two large bunches of grapes in her lap.
We are continuing to enjoy all things Barcelona, including:
the 1992 Olympic Stadium - Cole remarked "not as big as you might think"
the Montjuic Castle - I found the most interest in the dungeon areas...
the Arc de Triomf
the Picasso museum
the Museu de la Xocolata - Drool.
